TO USE: Place sand in bottom of a heat resistant bowl. Using tongs (never your fingers) light edges of charcoal disk for about 10-30 seconds. It will spark and get hot. Place it in sand filled bowl or incense burner. Let it warm up for a few minutes. When it begins to glow, add incense or herbs on top. Do not smother the coal with incense, but rather keeping placing small amounts on the coal as it burns. Keep unused tablets sealed from moisture. CAUTION: charcoal and bowl can become very hot.
